Rebekah Thompson is a cellist from Dayton, Ohio. During her time in Dayton, she taught a private studio and was very active at Wright State University where she attended for two years. She then continued her studies at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in cello performance. As an undergraduate, she won principal cellist of the University Symphony Orchestra and held the position of cellist in the Klinder Graduate String Quartet. She also taught at Athens Community Music School where her students ranged from ages 8-60. Rebekah has performed in various masterclasses, including Keith Lockhart and Joel Smirnoff. Rebekah finished her Masters degree in cello performance at Butler University in 2019 under Dr. William Grubb. She is now living in Ohio actively performing and teaching. She studies under Dr. Gabriel Prynn and is working hard as she prepares to hike the Appalachian Trail.
